The White House said on Monday it was not seeing signs that NATO allies who are coming to Washington for a summit this week needed assurance about President Joe Biden’s ability to do his job after his shaky debate performance against Donald Trump last month.
“We’re not picking up any signs of that from our allies at all. Quite the contrary,” White House spokesperson John Kirby told reporters in a briefing. “They’re very excited about this summit,” Kirby said.
